Camille A. Brown & Dancers Internship Opportunity

CABD is currently seeking college students and graduates interested in obtaining hands-on experience in arts administration for spring, summer and fall internships. Our internship program offers an inside look into the day to day operations of a multi‐faceted, fast paced arts organization.

Interns will have a unique opportunity to be involved in various aspects of the organization including Development (grant and donor research, reporting, and proposal preparation), Special Event planning, Community Engagement, and Marketing.  Interns will be directly engaged in planning two CABD upcoming benefits, cultivation events, and our November 2019 NYC Season.

Candidates should be energetic, eager to learn and have a self‐starter attitude.  Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Docs and Internet research, required. It is helpful if those interested in research or marketing have a personal laptop they can bring to the office.  Experience with Photoshop and Adobe Pro is a plus. Candidates should have excellent professional, interpersonal, and organizational skills. 

Internships are unpaid but can be taken for academic credit. Interns should expect to work 16-20 hours per week from the CABD office, located at 219 West 19th Street, NYC, NY.  Typically, scheduling is flexible from M‐F, 10am‐6pm. All interns will have the opportunity to attend Company showings, performances that occur in NYC during the internship, and observe company rehearsals during the internship.
